Digimarc works on JPEGs and PNGs but fails on vector exports. Custom SVG metadata survives Illustrator round-trips but breaks in Figma previews.

Here’s how to embed copyright metadata in Photoshop: File > File Info > Copyright section. Fill in Creator, Copyright Notice, and Rights Usage Terms. Save.

In Illustrator: File > Properties > Description tab. Paste the same fields. Don’t skip the “Web Statement of Rights” field (it’s) machine-readable.

Watermarks alone won’t stop theft. You know this.
